Hard? Easy?
Just moved here from NYC where you can meet people easy if you are a bit out-going. I am in Kirkland and somewhat far from where the action is at but I have been active and looking. Honestly I know nothing about Seattle so I am just driving around and looking at fun neighborhoods. I have no idea what is touristy, tacky or kool...everywhere I go people are so far nice and VERY laid back...unlike New Yorkers. The best part about the people I meet here so far is...no one gives a shit about what you do for a living!!! I like that.
Any advice from locals would be appreciated.
I can't wait for the weather to turn so I can take some road trips and discover my new state.

Re: Making New Friends in Seattle
Wed, April 19, 2006 - 10:59 PMIf you're looking for nightlife I would probably check out some of the bars in Pioneer Square (1st Ave, just north of the stadiums). I haven't done a whole lot of bar hopping through Seattle, and only really know of a few good bars in West Seattle. You can always check out nwsource.com, The Stranger (Seattle Alternative magazine) or www.thestranger.com. Hopefully I gave you a little help! -
